A beautiful take on a classic kind of idea.

I'd have to start by saying I really admire the technical aspects of the drawing here, the figure is well portrayed in a more unusual angle and definitely makes for a more interesting pose than you'd usually see in a lot of anime/manga art.

Aside from keeping the ideas and pose fresh, I like the delicate and detailed design of the bikini, it matches the roses well.

My biggest point I'd like to make here is that the shading is a tiny bit flat in some parts, as in the skin has depth and variety in it's colouring, but the roses, bikini and hair all remain very monotone. I'd like to see reds reflecting in the black of her hair, since no hair would be impervious to that amount of natural red and lighting. It'd also be nice to see a little more variety of colour within the roses themselves, although I can see how this might be a rather painstaking task (not that it wouldn't have been already, that shading variety within them is astounding!).

As I like to say, try and always stray away from using one colour plus black/white for the shading, adding as many additional colours, even if subtle, can really bring things to life that extra step, since that's what the human eye is used to seeing.

I'm loving this piece though, it shows a lot of great technical and creative progress, but there's always going to be room for trying new things too <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="15" height="15" alt=":aww:" title="Aww"/> Good job <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>
